Saipan Shipping Company, Inc. provides service to Guam, Rota, Tinian and continuing service from Guam to the neighboring islands of Palau, Yap, Chuuk, Ebeye, Kwajalein, Majuro, Kosrae, and Pohnpei. Eastbound service is offered from Saipan back to the U.S. Mainland with our partners Matson Navigation Company. Services offered to Micronesia and Asia with our partners Kyowa Shipping Co, Ltd.Other services include arrival preparation, cargo handling support, chandlery, transportation, and vessel clearance.

Saipan Shipping Company, Inc. has been the agent for Matson Navigation Company since 1996. Matson Navigation Company provides containerized solutions between the areas of the United States West Coast (ports of Seattle, Portland, Oakland, Long beach, & Hawaii) to Guam & Saipan.
Since 1974, Saipan Shipping Company, Inc. has been the agent for Kyowa Shipping Co., Ltd. This Japan based regional shipper has provided speedy and reliable services from the ports of Japan, Australia, Asia, and Southeast Asia to Guam and Saipan. Kyowa Shipping Company calls port every two weeks, or twice a month.
Marianas Steamship Agencies was established in June 1996 as a joint venture between Kyowa Line (USA) Ltd. and Saipan Shipping Company, Inc. The company is based out of the Guam, U.S.A. in the Western Pacific. The company offers full-scale general agency services including vessel husbanding, ship services, ship chandelling, freight forwarding and logistics business on the island of Guam.
Vessel Husbanding & Operation Services
Saipan Shipping Company’s operations department strives to provide reliable and efficient vessel husbanding and operations services. Other services include arrival preparation, cargo handling support, ship chandlery, transportation, and vessel clearing.
Arrival Preparation
- Advance coordination with U.S. government officials to secure permits for vessel entry to the port of Saipan.
- Coordination of vessel berthing activities including advance arrangement of berth space and tug and pilot assist.
- Pratique and Immigration Clearance.
- Submittal of Ballast Water Management Report.
Transportation
- Aid crew members in obtaining transportation services and/or lodging accommodations
Cargo Handling Support
- Prearrangement and coordination of stevedoring operations for cargo discharging and loading operations.
- Maintain inventory and control over Principal’s container, chassis and equipment inventory.
- Cargo and vessel survey arrangements.
- Saipan Stevedore Facility, Stevedoring, & Equipment.
Vessel Clearance
- Assist vessel master and crews during clearance process.
Chandlery
- Arrangement of waste removal & disposal.
- Procurement of supplies and provisions for ship stores.
- Procurement of ship’s parts and arrangement of vessel repair work or other necessary services.
- Arrangement of bunker and fresh water procurement.
Laundry services. - Arrangement of medical or dental services for crew.
- Crew repatriation services.
